RSS5000 is a new kind of RSS reader for the iPad. I worked with Danielle Strle to develop her concept and interaction design, and was responsible for the programming. It was featured on the Apple Store, LifeHacker, and Swiss Miss, among others. It reached #8 in the App Store's News category.
RSS5000 stacks up the web pages from the users's RSS feeds so he or she can flip through them in their original browser format by simply swiping their finger across the iPad. Once they start paging through their content, the already-minimal interface can disappear entirely, leaving the websites as the sole focus of the app. Because RSS5000 uses a live web view, the user can click on links, play embedded videos, and enjoy their favorite websites in the format their creators intended.
